Believe it or not, there is more to hipsters than their clich thick-rimmed glasses, vintage clothing, skinny jeans, and big messy hair. Despite the originality of a hipster’s clothing, which is becoming increasingly less original as more and more hipsters are surfacing, they are all about their attitude. A hipster’s attitude defines their hipster ways, not the way they dress.
Hipsters simply do not care. They wake up every morning with the intention of not fixing their hair, not caring what other people, and not caring what they themselves do. Hipsters believe it’s their way or the highway. Hipsters are also highly intellectual, well, at least they think they are. Hipsters typically throw long, unknown words into sentences without even knowing what they mean. Perhaps the hardcore hipster may look up a big word in the dictionary every morning, but most just don’t even care if they made up a word or not. Also, hipsters are all about setting trends. If it’s been done before, guess what; they won’t do it. Hipsters hate everything that is mainstream, particularly their music. If a band they have liked from the beginning goes mainstream, their love for this band gets buried deep below.
